About the contract
Contract 02024 is a statewide, cooperative contract established by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services for the remediation of digital documents — transforming documents such as PDFs to meet required accessibility standards.
Under the contract, an accessible document must meet WCAG 2.2 AA technical standards, and PDFs must meet PDF/UA (ISO 14289-1 or 14289-2). When a document is accessible, users can independently acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions and enjoy the same services, within the same timeframe, as individuals without disabilities — with substantially equivalent ease of use.
Who can purchase
The contract is part of the Washington State Purchasing Cooperative and is available to eligible purchasers at their option, including state agencies, local governments, school districts, higher education institutions and other approved participants.
